The early development of corrugated board line
The origin of corrugated paper : In 1856, the Brothers Edwadciley and Edwadellen pressed the paper into a corrugated shape, which was used as the lining of the hat to breathe and absorb sweat. This is the origin of corrugated paper.
The birth of corrugated paperboard : In 1871, Albert Jones, an American, invented the single-sided corrugated paperboard, which was used to process cartons for packaging glass lampshades and similar fragile items, and obtained the first patent for corrugated paper for packaging in the United States.
The first corrugated board patent : in 1874, oliverlong, the United States, first created a layer of liner on the other side of a single-sided corrugated paper to make a double-sided corrugated board, and obtained a corrugated board patent. Corrugated cardboard has expanded from a single-function liner material to a corrugated packaging container.
The first corrugated equipment : design engineer cflangston immigrated from Wales, England to Philadelphia, the United States in 1888, and opened a machine manufacturing plant there. His first design was the shear slitting machine, and the langston paper roll machine was born.
The first corrugated cardboard box : In 1895, the first slotted corrugated cardboard box came out. In the same year, hinde and dauch launched the patented climax brand bottle corrugated packaging, which is then used to pack the glass lampshade that needs to be transported. In 1895, corrugated box packaging began to be valued in the U.S.railway transportation system.
