Social responsibility of packaging
The environmental problems of the earth generally refer to the warming of the earth, acid rain, the impact of hazardous waste on environment, marine pollution, the reduction of wildlife, the decrease of tropical rainforests, land desertification, and public hazards in developing countries. These environmental issues affect future generations, making people realize the severity of these problems. Although the earth's environmental problems seem to have no direct connection with packaging, packaging is closely related people's lives. Packaging materials are also sourced from the earth's resources, so changes in the earth's resources will affect its environmental changes, people's living environment, and food environment, which will naturally change as well, thus affecting people's lives. In people's lives, the warming of the earth increases the earth's temperature which will lead to reduced crop yields and increased pest damage. Indirectly, these climate changes will cause changes in production and harvest locations, thereby increasing the of packaging used for preservation. As a contribution to the earth, packaging companies should try to reduce the use of the earth's resources, which is also a contribution society. From this, we can see that packaging is directly related to the environment in terms of using the earth's resources. The key to solving this problem lies the joint efforts of countries around the world. As people working in the packaging industry, whether in design or production, we should think from the perspective of the global, start with ourselves, fulfill our responsibilities as packaging industry workers, connect packaging with environmental protection, and maximize the protection of the earth and its resources
